DASH7 Ltd in collaboration with a local Mexico Engineering House is contracted by PEMEX to carry out a detailed engnieering to confirm the stress and fatigue level of the conductor risers system.
Project Background

In supporting Pemex Exploration and Production's strategy to produce a new oil field as soon as possible, the Akal NW field was initiated as an early production project by PEMEX in October 2022.

Problem Definition

To expedite the production as soon as possible, a temporary export system is required to deliver the product from the AKAL 501/502/502S surface wells to the existing 36” L175 via hot tapping. Due to the long lead time required for the fabrication (permanent) export system, a temporary solution was adopted by PEMEX while waiting on the delivery of the jacket and export riser. The temporary concept solution includes utilising the jack-up rig to support the conductors riser with mezzanine deck and export the production via a clamp on J-tube and flexible hose.
Scope of the Studies:

-
Conductor risers in-place stress analysis
-
Conductor risers fatigue assessment
-
Jack-up support structure integrity assessment
-
Mezzanine deck stress and fatigue assessment
